1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the website and services of Y1 Engineering, LLC (“Y1,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our website or services.
2. Services
Y1 provides product design and engineering services. The scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for any project will be set out in a separate agreement or statement of work. These Terms apply to all such engagements unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, upon full payment for services, ownership of custom deliverables created by Y1 for you will transfer to you. Y1 retains the right to use general skills, knowledge, and pre-existing materials. You may not use our name or marks without prior written consent.
4. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep confidential any non-public information disclosed by the other in connection with the services. This obligation survives termination of the engagement.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Y1’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to Y1 for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
6. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance. Contact us at contact@y1engineering.com with any questions.
